The Balvenie Week of Peat is part of the “Balvenie Stories” series of the distillery. This whiskey tells the story of Distillery Manager Ian Millar. After a visit to the island of Islay, he wanted to apply the knowledge he had learned there for his whiskys. This gave rise to the “Week of Peat”, one week a year in which Balvenie produces peaty whisky. The result is a single malt with notes of honey, vanilla and citrus and a slight smokiness.
