The Macallan Edition No. 4 is the fourth in a series of annual limited releases, created to reveal the mastery behind the perfect cask selection that has inspired all Macallan single malt whiskies since 1824. She also celebrates the opening of Macallan's new distillery, which opened in summer of 2018. This limited edition whisky embodies the artisan quality and innovative design of the new Macallan distillery. Macallan's Master Distiller has carefully selected barrels for this single malt whisky by hand, which reflect a modern taste profile while remaining faithful to maturing in sherry-flavored casks for which Macallan is renowned. For the production seven special barrels were selected.
