At the Ardbeg distillery, the so-called Gathering Room was set up in a former granary. In this room is a large wooden barrel made of pure French oak, in which the whiskeys for the Ardbeg An Oa are married from three different barrel types.
The name of the new Ardbeg, which extends the core range permanently, comes from the southwestern foothills "Mull of Oa" of the Scottish Isle of Hebrides.
