The history of the traditional brand "Bols" dates back to 1575, when a distillery called "Tlootsje" was founded in Amsterdam. For the first time in 1652, Lucas Bols, grandson of the founder, began shipping the produced liqueurs all over the world. Previously, the focus was mainly on domestic sales. Many years later, in 1820, the then Master Distiller dedicated himself to the old recipes and refined them with new Botanicals to bring a fresh breeze to the recipes.
