This Benromach Wood finish is first aged in First Fill Bourbon barrels before being finished for a minimum of two years in handpicked Sassicaia red wine barrels from the Bolgheri wine region in Tuscany. Each barrel is filled by hand, weighed by hand and stamped by hand before maturing for many years in the distillery's traditional warehouses. The single malt whisky shows notes of ruby-red summer fruits, spices and milk chocolate and ends with a slightly smoky finish.
