Baron Jean-Baptiste Otard first produced his Cognac in 1795, buying the only Castle in the town of Cognac because of its exceptional ageing conditions - humid cellars at a constant temperature, created by its thick stone walls and close proximity to the River Charente.
Their Cellar Master takes infinite care of the precious Blends before letting them rest in the Castle's cellar. These unique natural ageing conditions, still used today, are the reason Baron Otard continues to deliver such an intensely smooth and rewarding Cognac experience.
The Baron Otard XO Gold leathery flavours married to those of spices and dry fruits are the result of a very long ageing. The deep flame-ringed gold colour is a sure sign of its exceptional maturity.
