The Prinz Alten Sorten gets storaged for many months in the so-called "Hafele" (earthenware vessel). Unwanted taste notes are getting filtered out over the air exchange through the micropores in the stoneware. For the "finishing" follows the storage in different barrels, which depends on the varietal character. Doing this gets the schnapps a beautiful amber coloring and the fruit aromas are getting hilghlited stronger. Furthermore gets the schnapps because of it's long storage especially mild and doesnt burn in the throat.
