The Prinz Old Varities are stored after the distillation for several months in the "Hafele" (earthenware vessel). Over air exchange through the micropores in the stoneware unwanted flavours are getting filtered out. On the other hand they can develop important taste nuances and aromas. For the "finishing" follows the storage in different wood barrels, depending on the varietal character. The schnapps is not only getting it's beautiful amber coloring here, but also are the fruit flavors getting more emphasized. Also is the schnapps because of it's long storage getting espacially mild and doesn't burn in the throat.
