History

In 1889, the distillery Morand was founded by Louis Morand. At that time, he made his first liquor, the Grand-St-Bernard, and thus has worldwide success.

In 1921, his son André Morand takes over the company. Today, the business is managed externally. However, the family is still involved, leaving the company in the family.

Production

Depending on the variety fermenting fruits between 10 & 30 days in copper tanks. Then they are distilled very slowly in Holstein copper kettles.

 

The storage

After distillation, the Eau de vie is stored in tanks for a minimum of six to eight months. This gives the brand its full-bodied taste.
